"As a follow-up, the resort's manager saw my similar review on TripAdvisor and reached out to us, offering a refund of the aforementioned $150 fee. We accepted the refund, so at least we are not out that money. However, rebuilding trust is challenging when dealing with businesses in another country. To avoid any further timeshare stress, we are now happily paying standard market rates for our accommodation."
