What makes a great local bar? Quality music, delicious food, affordable drinks, a chance to play some games, and that familiar hometown vibe from the staff. You can find all of this and more at 1029, where I have been a regular for a few years now. After returning from a deployment, I decided to host a welcome back party for my friends in February 2022. Mark, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. Since then, he has become a friend who always looks out for our group's safety. He treats everyone with respect, thanks us for our service, and makes sure we feel welcomed. 1029 is a must-visit spot if you want to mingle with locals, enjoy the atmosphere...

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, and the attentive staff at this restaurant. However, I made a mistake by ordering the Lobster poutine for $23. Although it came with a generous amount of fries and melted cheese with bits of Lobster, it was supposed to have cheese curds which were missing. The staff mentioned that the cheese was melted in, but I should have chosen a different dish. Management should consider reevaluating this menu item as customers might not find it worth the price without the traditional cheese curds.

DeRoy is an excellent Bartender and very helpful! I love his personality and kindness. His humor is fun too. He was great when I called to ask if I could pre order my Lobster Mac and Cheese because the kitchen was closing soon. Upon my arrival he was verycordial and provided prompt service for the remainder of the evening. He even walked me out the door and made sure I got to myvehicle safely. THANK YOU DEROY! I will be back for more L.MAK and your fun bartending!!!! ?

Friday, July 15, 2022 Stopped with my wife to have a cocktail. We got there at about 6pm. My goodness! The place was absolutely packed, we got the only table open, near the pull tab booth. Correction, the cardboard crack booth! Not sure, but I think thereare about a thousand bras fastened to the ceiling. Maybe the ladies get a free drink in exchange for their bra, I don?t reallyknow. We did enjoy our short time there. Great drinks. Reserve uma mesa agora

This is a solid dive bar with beer and food as you would expect from a dive bar. The drinks were good, and the food was solid if youre here for a snack. They had pull tabs which, for someone who's not from around here, is so interesting. We were able to win, but quickly gave it all back in the form of reinvestment. All good, it's for charity I think. No complaints about the bar, easy going place with nice people!

The 1029 is a classic Minneapolis dive bar that used to cater to cops. The decor still reflects this history. The highlight of this place is the Smack Shack food served in the kitchen. Don't miss out on their delicious lobster rolls! Enjoy a High Life beer while people-watching.

Bingo on Saturdays. Pulltabs. The food is fine, especially after adding Burger Dive. I try to remember to get the fries minus the seasoning. They have a couple Hard Seltzer brands. They have Pepsi Products.

Fun place!! The burger is delicious !! French onion dip was ok. The Poboys and fries are awesome!! Great service! Fun place to play bingo. Coke products would be the only thing to make this place better!! Reserve uma mesa agora

The restaurant may have a cop bar aesthetic, but it successfully pulls it off with serving the delicious Smack Shack menu.
