79th Street Barbecue

Damn good BBQ. We arrived a little after 6:30pm on a Tuesday, so they didn't have too many items available but I had the 79th street combo which includes rib tips/ 2 links with a side of Mac n cheese and yams to go. The links are a bit spicy (that's not a complaint) and the rib tips are fire? the sauce is on point, not too sweet, not too spicy. Combos come with slices of white bread. The Mac n cheese was okay but the yams... DELICIOUS! I'll definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu.

I ordered the link, type combo. the typps tasted good, could have been a bit more tender to my opinion. the left were great. some of the best left I had in the time. the fries were thick and taste fine, but the sauce was not on point. I personally order light sauce on my eating so it does not exaggerate the food, but this sauce was not so good compared to other rib houses. but I would try again 79 for the cut and bark tips or the burnt ends and brisket

I ordered the rib tip and chicken wing combo, but when I got home, all the sauce had leaked from the container and soaked the bag. The sauce was so watery that it was almost impossible to taste. The meal came with steak fries, but half of them were undercooked while the other half were dried out, as if they had been reheated. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I definitely won't be returning to 79th Street BBQ.

The restaurant is rarely open and has very limited hours. Their menu includes items like fried chicken wings and a few sides, but it can be hit or miss with what's available. They don't offer much variety, with no turkey links or smoked chicken wings, and there's certainly no jerk chicken. It's quite disappointing given the selection. I hope a better barbecue place takes over this spot soon! It's quite unbelievable!

I returned yesterday, Saturday, and ordered two large meals along with an extra-large combo that comes with four sides. We just finished it up today, Sunday, and it was fantastic and satisfying. I can't wait to go back next week!
