after my training I made a trip to active culture to lunch. finally laid four years in san clemente the foot on the place. located on el camino real at the top of the avenida del mar, this is a popular midday place! with a full selection of bowls, burritos and burgers I have settled on the hummus burrito. Note, the falafel sauce that they supplement is milk-based. my wife and I have recently san clemente, ca, visited, on Friday, to take a sunrise to sunset walking group (on the list of meetup groups online) take a tomorrow 4 miles wet sand walk on the beach. then linda and I go for brunch to active culture. we go back to this place because of the friendly and efficient staff, and the excellent vegan options we have discovered here. the simple salat on the photos - has garbanzos, cucumber, carrot, sunflower seeds, tomatoes, greens, wobbles and sprouts- with a vegan dressing on the side. their bean patty, which they serve on vegan toast and a selection of fries or side sallad, if asked, is also unforgettable. this is a must for the hungry animal-free es...

Cool vibe. The lentil burger was amazing great textures (for details on the burger itself: mushier than a grilled meat burger, but it kept its shape with each delicious bite) and fantastic mix of flavors. The chips have a big frito vibe, which wethoroughly enjoyed as well. Update Oct29 Brought family while they were here from out of state last week and all of the mealschosen were a huge hit. Hubby had the lentil burger again, I had the nachos (vegan style with their special sauce) and let mejust say we're coming back today for more haha. Delicious.

two options of vegan fro yes, if it is hot, it can hit the place. chili was served warm turned around to heat up. whole bowl was served cool (supposed to be). I wanted to warm up. and the whole bowl was much better mixed with the chili. roots burger was my favorite of all. even though it had been hotter. I get active culture can do something with low heat to keep closer to raw oil or keep nutrients...I like food hot. mint smoothie was super. I ate too much. the it had in and outside the door areas. Needed a good bfast that was gluten free before continuing on the road. Found this searching ?gluten free near me?. So glad I did! Was bummed when they said they were out of gf bagels, but they said they?d sub it for their gf sourdough, which was madethe prosciutto and egg sandy FANTASTIC! Also had it w the detox watermelon smoothie. YUM! So happy I found this place!

I originally thought it was just a fruit bowl/yogurt type site, so I was pleasantly surprised with the plentiful burrito and bowl options. I ordered the nachos, burrito and coconut shake and I must say I am very impressed. eating is very fresh and delicious! I would recommend to everyone, come and try!

The menu is extremely accommodating for individuals with allergies. As someone who is both gluten and dairy free, I often struggle to find places to eat. The food was served quickly and was incredibly tasty! The flavors were both delicious and distinct. The restaurant itself is charming and adorable.

Met friends from out of town for lunch. They are not vegan so it was a good choice for all of us. Beautiful day on the patio to visit. I really enjoyed my meal.
