Afghan Rahimi Restaurant

My friends and I had an absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant. I initially walked in the previous week and was immediately greeted by a friendly waiter who advised there was no availability so I booked the following week, then called back to add more people to the reservation and again spoke to the incredibly friendly owner (I think) who told me he'd get us a great table. The service and atmosphere from the moment we walked in was great, and even though it was busy, the service was still friendly and the place was cosy. Very arrogant, rude, abusive, insulting and disrespecting owner. Food is way overpriced with limited choices and no flexibility in comparison to the many other Afghan restaurants in the same area. It is a place to avoid. We actually walked out of the restaurant in disgust before ordering our meals (mainly based on the owner's attitude) and had a wonderful Afghan dining experience somewhere else 2 minutes away walking.

I was very encouraged to discover that they were avoiding cross contamination and they make their own GF bread and desserts. Everything was tasty and a new cusine for me. I have never enjoyed eggplant until I tried it here. I would encourage coeliacs to give it a go.

I have been here many times and the service has always been exemplary.The food has always been of very good quality and good portions. Yes the pricing may put some people off but in this day and age, you get what you pay for.Highly recommend and will be back soon.

We walked in on Mothers Day without a booking but they managed to still take us. The set deals are amazing. Food was absolutely delicious and service was very good. We had the owner come and talk to us and share some stories. A very pleasant experience indeed!
