Airport Chalet - Reservar uma mesa

A blast from the past. This place reminds me of the restaurants I would go to with my parents as a kid in the 70's. Retro cool. Lots of wood paneling and wallpaper. I had the special. Perigees with sausage, cabbage rolls and soup of the day. All homestyle fresh tasting food. My friend had the ribeye and said it was cooked perfectly. Chuck Berry and Everly brothers were the soundtrack for dinner. Can still vaguely smell the cigarettes that were smoked in here 20 years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Not a date place. Lots of truckers and beer

All was just spot on, the aromas on the parking lot drew us in, the atmosphere in the old school 'lounge' with bar, the service by one only friendly lady. We had burger and cabbage soup (excellent) and rib eye that was cooked to perfection. I was happy to have eaten real old school cooking that actually tasted like it did in my memories.

Still one of the best old-school diner's in the Territory. Whether you want a decent home style meal or some delicious pub food with a cold beer or even a hearty breakfast you aren't going to go wrong with this place. Even though I moved out of the neighborhood, I keep making time to go back.

If you ever want to eat a great meal, this is your restaurant. There's rumor that if you eat at a place where you see big rigs parked outside, you're most likely going to have a great meal...well, that's true for The Airport Chalet!
