Alabrasa - Reservar uma mesa

Don't come here if you like waiters pulling out your chair for you and opening your napkin with a flourish. This is a gloriously unpretentious place. We were the only foreigners in there. It was full of locals and lorry drivers. The menu del dia was delicious and huge. The meat was some of the best I have ever tasted. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, the service was brisk and unsentimental and not hugely smiley. It didn't matter at all. These are people who are rushed off their feet to get everyone served in time and they managed it and once things had calmed down a little were very friendly.
