When we walked in, they wanted to seat us on a two person table. I preferred to sit at the window and they had no customers. He insisted we had to sit at that table because he wanted them for other guests. It was situated pretty much in front of the door, so whenever someone walked in, i got a cold wave. I couldn't enjoy my food because I was freezing. During our visit, there weren't many guests arriving, only 5 more persons. And the window seating was free all this time. It really annoyed me that he didn't care about us, his guests. He asked the table next to us how her food was and had a nice chat, but didn't bother to ask us. The food was ok, like you would expect it from a Greek restaura...
I have lived here going on 5 years and since the first six months I decided to not grace this restaurant with my money. I can handle that the food is not wonderful but I will not tolerate rudeness. I was treated somewhat rudely the first time I came to this restaurant when it was still named Alexander 's and the owner/manager was rude enough to tell us that we had to sit at a small table for two when there was only 2 other people (males) in the restaurant who were btw sitting at a large table. My friend and I (both females) wanted to sit at the window and were told that those tables were for larger parties only...well hell, no one else came in the entire time we were there but oh well...I bl...
The key element is that every time I bring someone new to this restaurant, they leave with the same feeling I always have after going here for two years... They always want to come back. A wonderful and simple atmosphere, it is more than welcoming. I have felt like family every time I walked through the door. Whether solo, on a date, or with a large group, this is the place to go for lunch or dinner. My personal favorite is the stuffed meatball #50) or #80. You absolutely need to start your meal off with the fried cheese. You will be more than satisfied and ready to come back.
I love this place! The first time I had their food, it was delivered, and it was even great then! I ordered Calamari, so if it could survive a drive, then it had to be good! Lol I ate inside tonight and it was great! I had the same thing, with Octopus and ate a piece of my husband's grilled chicken, and that was great as well!...Have cash on hand. They told us they don't accept cards. There's a bank right across the street, too! Lol...It's now called Taverne Mykonos. Reserve uma mesa agora
