Allegria - Reservar uma mesa

It has been nearly nine years since I gave a 1-star review to a restaurant for its poor service (The Bees Knees in Hisaronu Turkey), but on 1 September I visited the Allegria Italian restaurant in St Annes near Blackpool. The service here was even worse than the Bees Knees! We had been recommended the restaurant by the receptionist at our hotel, based on what visitors had told her. We arrived at the restaurant at 19.10, to find if busy. We asked if they had a table for two. They told us that there was a table upstairs, if we didn't mind the climb. This Italian restaurant is one of the best we have ever been to! During our three-night stay in St Annes, we dined here twice with our three young boys. The authentic Italian cuisine was excellent, with fresh and delicious food. The atmosphere was great, and the restaurant was genuinely family-friendly and accommodating. The service was friendly and attentive, with no long waits. The prices were really reasonable, especially with the 30% offer. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant and hope to return soon.

Disappointing. Service not very good at all. Food didn't seem authentic. Shellfish spaghetti didn't contain scallops. Panacotta desserts were topped with cheap flavoured sauces. Waiting staff were quite rude/offhand, and kept us waiting so long every time we ordered/asked for dessert menus etc. Such a shame.

The menu gave us all good choices and the food was really well prepared and presented The wines gave some really good Italian wines to choose from The service was first class from first to last

Great service and great food. Good atmosphere too especially for a Monday night. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
