they get five stars for service. food and service was good and as you would expect it in one of those small town local restaurants you get spaetzle (german pasta) with all kind of meat dishes and gravy, salads are very good, portion size also decent and best we paid for 8 people eating, 4 adults and 4 children, only 130 euros including drinks. we had: three schnitzel, kaese spaetzle, zuericher geschnetzeltes, steak, italien salad, gasthaus toepfle, a soup, 3 cokes, 4 weizen, 1 radler, 4 apfelschorle and all dishes had a side salad! in the end our kids lost something, we called and they will send it at no charge to our home that was the moment, when they earned the fifth star!

Have had lunch here recently with my kids and parents and we were all more than happy with our meals. They came out fresh and tasty and there was more than enough for all of us. My youngest loves the kids playing corner and all of my mob look forward to choosing something from the treat basket when it 's time for mum&dad to settle the bill. I also love the decorations in the Gaststätte as well as the lovingly decorated tables. We look forward to returning again as soon as possible. This is very popular with locals and my family.

The lunch menu has many of the usual South German staples Spätzle, Schnitzel, Zwieblerostbraten, Maultasche etc. Nothing beautiful but good hearty, largely meat-based food. And the service was friendly, atmosphere relaxed and prices very reasonable. The environment is industrial, but because it is outside the city, there are many simple parking spaces. And the front of the restaurant had lush window boxes. Don't come here to look for something exotic or fantasy, but we enjoyed our meal.

Wow! What a great meal... Fresh salad served as an appetizer with generous dinner portions. The restaurant was packed with locals. The staff was very friendly and offered English menus. If you want a great traditional German meal, this is the place!

Very typical Schwarzwald Baden eatery, tucked away and worth hunting out. Good food, inexpensive, and of course, beer.....!!!
