Amrutha Aappakadai

This restaurant is our popular Indian restaurant throughout the Sacramento region. From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm welcome. The menu is extensive and offers many possibilities for every palate. My son is especially picky, but loves the chicken tikka masala. I prefer the Chettinadu Chicken, which is AMAZING if you like your curry with some heat. The curries you get here taste like they cooked all day. They have deep, complex aromas instead of a generic sauce that should happen for curry. I can't recommend this place anymore. If you love Indian food, especially South Indian food, you must try Amrutha Aappakadai!

Was about 25 minutes away in light traffic, but it's still my favorite place for Indian food. The menu has a lot to offer. Many vegetarian and non vegetarian. Dosa Night is amazing, and her Manchuria sauce.... my God her chili paneer. The staff is warm and welcoming and the chefs are flexible. I haven't tried her buffet yet, but the chicken noodles were made to order. They were in both tastes and spices on the spot.

Authentic Chettinadu food, good customer service, unique menu, reasonable price are all factors that have made us frequent customers. We love the weekend buffet and dosa night. Your dinner by the sea is a treat for seafood. Keep the good work!!! We look forward to being there soon

This is the best Indian food I had in the United States and I have eaten all over the world!!! Lawrence is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and extremely hospitable and very beautiful. Excellent service!!!

Excellent service and food. I highly recommend the buffet on Wednesdays! Try the Chettinad Special Dosa with Tomato Chutney.
