Apple Dumpling Cafe

This is the restaurant at Apple Hills Farms, which also has apple and blueberry picking, seasonally, on site. When you enter the restaurant, you walk through a little gift shop, which has some nice artisanal crafts like candles, artwork, jewelry, etc, bulk spices, and also typical cheap gimmicky gift shop toys. Then you seat yourself in the restaurant, inside or on the patio. The cabin like building and farm view reminded me of camping. It's a pretty big space with lots of tables, but there were signs up saying that 4 people is the maximum per table (at least outside), so if your family is bigger than 4 you'll have to split up. We sat outside because it was a little quieter, but were warned...

Apple Hills is not any ordinary farm stand. They have a bakery and a Cafe on sight. They offer breakfast and lunch. They make their homemade soups..bread for sandwiches...salads as sides for their lunch specials. They have U-pick apples in the fall and during summer U-pick strawberries and blueberries. Their prices are on par with diner fare elsewhere. They have outdoor seating on their large wrap around porch. They are only open for breakfast on Sundays. Parking: The parking is next to the building but is on a hill. You can pull up next to the door to let wheelchair customers out and anyone else that has difficulty walking on a slight grade. Went for lunch and had Blt homemade macaroni salad and cheese and broccoli soup . Lunch was delicious. Worth the drive. Also left with donuts and homemade bread.

Two egg breakfast. Burned toast and sausages. When I complained they subtracted two dollars from the bill. Not a great resolution or overall experience.

Always have a good meal, whether breakfast or lunch...love to shop around too and visits from the doggie
