We were a group of walkers, cold and damp having walked along the old Periana-Zafarraya railway line when we came across the bar and decided coffee-time The lady behind the bar was totally in control and soon we all had our drinks. Lunch was...being prepared and we couldn't resist a tapas or two.....the bacalao was excellent! We didn't relish the thought of going out in the rain to eat our sandwiches and we were very kindly allowed to use the large covered entrance area as our picnic area which was really appreciated. as we led the Andalusian coast to the coastal path, we spent a night in this great bar/restaurant/hotel. we had a nice friendly reception from Jesùs and estella. that was great. the house salad was a work of art (then they estella .and the mushrooms and muddles were delicious. in that we would do it as one of the best meals we had throughout the week of going. the room was spotlessly clean and the shower was also the best of the trip. ventas felt strange like a set in a spaghetti western. thanks for an unforgettable stay.

Three of us arrived exhausted after a mile walk laden down with rucksacks. Sat down and ordered much needed beers. Straight away we were impressed with the friendly reception we received from the non English speaking owner. So much so that after a delicious...meal and more beers we stayed the night in basic but clean rooms. Great value. Good ambience.

Jesus, his wife and son are such phenomena. They saved our lives, gave us dinner when they had already closed the bar and the kindness and hospitality of 10. If you go through the area, don't stop visiting them.
