Visited here on 29th September. Have been coming here on a Friday evening for the past 18 months for a few drinks with an old friend. Maybe not the best of customers or the most lucrative but we are customers. Initially had to wait for the barmaid in the front bar to finish her conversation with her friend before we could get served. Subsequently listened to her telling her colleague that on a previous night she wanted to close so she just ran the customer out of the bar and closed up! And then low and behold at 10:40 she informed the owners !!!!! that she was going to close the bar and did so. Who owns and runs this business? Will not be going back here
I booked this restaurant for a gathering with 30 guests on August 16, 2023. They provided a screen for us to display photos and allowed us to choose the music. We enjoyed a buffet lunch that was served to us throughout the afternoon, which was a nice touch. The food was delicious, there was plenty of it, and the staff were friendly and professional. Dale helped make all the arrangements and was incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend this venue. Thank you, Beverley.
went for a friend birthday over the weekend, really nice place, great music, friendly door men / woman, beautiful decor. the only reason I would give it is 4.5 because they have no bass! I know it is in a residential area, but some serious sound-ofing and the increase of the bass line would not go amiss, at the moment my car has a heavy bass line as the nightclub!
We held a wake for my dad at the Woodman. Julie, Dale and their team could not have been more kind, caring and considerate. They made a difficult day much more bearable and removed a lot of stress from us as a family organising the wake. I would highly recommend the pub for wakes and any other happier occasions.
