Ariake Japanese Reston Location

Ariake is my favorite sushi restaurant in Reston. The food is consistently excellent and I have been coming for years. This feedback is for their takeout system which has been deteriorating. This evening (Thursday 7:30pm) after ordering online, I went to pick up and there was a line of us waiting and food waiting to be packed. What I found frustrating was that only one staff member was manning it all while I saw a lot of other staff just standing around. Please re-visit your takeout system.

Easily one of the best sushi spots in the area. They get pretty busy on any afternoon so I would recommend getting a reservation or ordering to go, otherwise you can expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour for a table! I love their selection of rolls, they also don't cover in the sushi in spicy mayo like many other places, you can actually taste the fish.

My first time trying Ariake. I was surprised that miso soup and salad weren't automatically served when ordering 7 rolls, like everywhere else. Enjoyed the flavor combinations on the rolls.
