When my husband's work asked him to spend a week (Monday through Thursday) in Paris, he invited me to join him for the weekend. I believe I may have said yes before he finished the question, seeing as I'm not an idiot. Due to poor health in my youth, I'd not travelled outside the United States, but I'd heard the horror stories about hotel rooms in Paris often reviled for being the same size as the hotel rooms in Japan, indifferent staff, staff that didn't deign to listen to you in English or French. So I was cautious. I spent at least three weeks carefully looking for a hotel. I knew we wanted to be in the 9ème, as his work sponsored hotel had been nearby, and he'd know a bit of the neighbor...

I think I found this hotel in an article on Pinterest. I was nervous being my first trip to Paris from the U.S. Plus I would be traveling alone. I'd heard stories about terribly small rooms, elevators that only fit 1 person and French people that didn't like Americans. I found None of this too be true! This hotel was Perfect! The room was comfortable and lovely! The service was superb and whichever concierge that was on duty was beyond helpful! The breakfast was also nice with a large selection. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again if I ever visit Paris again. I think where you stay can make or break your vacation! Mine was Awesome! Extraordinary. I arrived very early after a long flight from Detroit with a layover. The night manager checked me in right away even though my room was not ready. Artsy library hotel. The staff was generous , beautiful, and accommodating. The layout for breakfast_ i felt at home throughout my entire stay. Outstanding !
