Asahi Japanese Restaurant

I have been to this restaurant numerous times and each time it is worse than the last. I always find that a restaurant that takes care of its washrooms, is a sign that it cares about its clients. Not this one. Broken toilet seat in women's washroom. Whole section of seat is broken off and jagged. DANGEROUS, UN-HYGIENIC, and honestly pathetic. Home depot is just down the street and it takes 10 minutes to get a new seat. Absolutely shameful. The fact that they did not even bother to fix it says a lot. The waitress already knew bout it so it was not a last minute happening. Other toilet set is almost wobbling off the frame. In the restaurant, the seat backs were plywood stamped with dragon flie...

I am rapidly becoming a regular at Asahi. Very friendly staff. Very reasonably priced and (most importantly) very good flavours. Fresh product combined with fast service return customer. They have booths and the more traditional sliding rice paper doors on individual table rooms. I could do without the TVs on the wall but it is becoming more and more difficult to avoid them. At least the sound is off.

We have been coming here for years, it is a family favorite by far. they offer a wide assortment of rolls and fresh fish items. Their menu is not too complicated and the prices are reasonable. Long standing business in Port Coquitlam.

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
