Au Pont de l'Orne - Reservar uma mesa

I really like this place. I've turned up on various week-nights & asked if food was available. never turned away. the proprietor is very amiable & has always tried to look after us. The first time we came this year we got our steak and chips, cheese board & ice cream at a very reasonable (low) cost. The food was excellent so we went again later in the week. This time the steak was even better. Back in the area three weeks later we ate there twice more & really enjoyed our food. The house wine was good & the beer was perfect. I'm not sure the proprietor was even offering food on those winter midweek nights but he went out of his way to look after us. Everything we had was good. ,

Passing this bar/restaurant to get a picnic lunch from the epicerie, we were distracted by the size of the steak et frites on a customer's plate and immediately scrapped our picnic plans in favour of lunch in the restaurant. We are so glad we did, as the food was excellent. The menu du jour (€12.90) lovely bread and pate, followed by faux fillet done to perfection. (the large steak was the plat du jour at €14) and a plate of a good selection of marvellous cheese just at the right point of ripeness followed by dessert.The quality of the food and the service were what lifted this way above the normal 'menu' food. Highly recommend!

We only stopped for a cup of coffee in this little town. The café was full of locals and the waitress was not only friendly and welcoming, she even knew quite a bit of English! We did not eat anything as it was mid-morning but thoroughly enjoyed our cup of freshly made coffee. The menu looked interesting and the plate of the day (3courses) was just over twelve euros. Do pop in and visit this little café if you are in the area.

Je suis allée boire un verre en fin de journée. Les patrons et/ou personnels étaient à une table. Entrain de commenter les passantes. Autant dire que ça a gâcher mon moment détente. Surtout que les remarques étaient sexistes. Je n'ai pas trouvé ça très professionnel.

Très bon repas avec des produits frais maison et de bonne qualité . Bonne ambiance conviviale à la bonne franquette , sans chichi A recommander si vous cherchez à manger bien bon et à un tarif raisonnable
