Au Vieux Couvent - Reservar uma mesa

Two of us really enjoyed the Italian menu....perfectly executed mini Italian classics eg lasagne bolognaise and sophisticated Italian interpretations eg an amuse bouche of a large gnocchi with a pesto and pine nut centre finished with with Parma ham and grated Parmesan. In particular the desserts were of note .. They deserve a second Michelin star! Two suggestions come hungry as there is lots of food and request a window table in advance.

We made reservation for a Sunday lunch to celebrate our birthdays. We had a wonderful lunch in this beautiful restaurant. Every dish was outstanding and the local wine we chose complimented the food beautifully. The presentation of the food was colorful and the flavors and textures were contrasting and balanced. Best lunch ever.

The restaurant had a nice website but it could not inform that the restaurant was closed for vacations. Long story short, we drove all the way from Colmar to Rhinau to see the door of a restaurant and a vacation note. Not a nice experience.

The food was absolutely delightful. Exotic and known elements. Just perfect. Not too fancy in the decoration of the restaurant, felt very comfortable. The service was really great. Love it here!

Today we had the special Easter menu: About 3 first courses, about 4 main courses and about 6 deserts. It was a feast. All the courses were beautiful presented.
