Auberge de Bréca - Reservar uma mesa

It is not a good idea to be out in the French countryside on a Sunday without a luncheon reservation. More than half the restaurants are closed, and those that are open and desirable are often fully booked. After stopping by two attractive ones close to opening time, whose parking lots were nearly empty, but complet , on the fly I turned to La Fourchette and secured a reservation here, but with some trepidation. The concern proved to be prescient. Nice people, nice atmosphere, but a combination of under staffing, competent, but not particularly inspired cooking and being seated next to a very large and boisterous birthday celebration did not result in a particularly pleasing meal we ordered...

What a surprise to find this gem by chance at the end of a county road, driving on a rainy day in the National Park which is also an marshes ecosystem wonder. The local typical house with straw roof hosts the well decorated restaurant with a touch of soft colors nothing too strong, looking like the living room of a small mansion. The owner is very welcoming and the waitress is a very nice person, busy, efficient and taking great care of the customer in a friendly way and all together very respectful. The menu offers a large choice, difficult to make up one's mind, and we really indulge ourselves with our orders. Interesting wine list and a gimmick: you may order the wine by 10cc glasses serv...

We intended visiting a restaurant in Guerande. Diversions! Route barre! Enough. Needed to escape. Been to Breca before. So, a second try. And it was brilliant. The first visit was. This second visit was! Just very good food, very good service, good wine! Cannot possibly recommend it enough!

This restaurant is set in the middle of the beautiful Parc du Marais de la Grande Briere. The tables were well spaced and the welcoming, efficient staff all wore masks. This did not distract from the good service, tasty and imaginative food and general good ambiance.

This is the third year we have been and it keeps getting better the food, ambience and service was excellent. Don't miss it especially on a nice day when you dine in the garden. Peter
