Auberge de la Vallée

Well, I am delighted to say that a lovely evening was had yet again and my colleague who accompanied we this time agreed the food was exceptional and tremendous value. The tasty Foie Gras was followed by a perfectly cooked Veal Chop and joined by...a very special 1/2 bottle of wine. Sebastian not only cooked but served the meal with great charm and pleasure. It makes a real difference to to experience the personal touches that he always provides the guests.

If you are looking for nouveau cuisine don't go here. A first course of a puff pastry filled with veal would have been enough to fill me up as a main course. The actual main course of chicken lacked any discernment. The dessert of figs...and ice cream was ok. The wine at €6.50 a glass was overpriced, and contained too many finings in the bottom of the glass. I find it difficult to believe that this place deserves its place in the Michelin guide.

The Auberge de la Vallee has become an excellent place if you like carefully prepared French food with the certain foreign influence. Nice and careful presentation, fresh ingredients superbly prepared and excellent meat quality. A real treat. Today, we were attended by a most friendly...English speaking waitress and we had a lot of fun. Highly recommended!

What a lovely find! My friend lives nearby and on her visiting her on holiday we decided to go for lunch. Fresh wonderful food (and wine! in a lovely relaxed atmosphere will be back

We have visited many times and always found the lovely food to be great and very good value for money. The Chef and his wife are always very attentive and a pleasure to talk to.
