Before going to the restaurant I attempted to book via email a table from the email address on their Facebook page.. it bounced back asking me to send it to another email address so I did but still heard nothing so we chanced it as it was a special meal with my parents and wanted a nice venue.. on arrival I told the lady that I had attempted to book to be told that those email addresses we no longer in use and can only book via the website!! (My suggestion then would be to take them off then! and I would be treated as a. 'walk in .. we were shown a table but had to wait about 20.mins for our drinks order then another 20 mins for food order to then be told it was menu de jour or moules and th...

I went with a mixed French and British group for lunch in June. This was quite a large group and yet they coped without hic-up. The setting is a pure delight. A very pretty village with lovely views of the old limestone houses with the original stone used to build the village. The food was exceptionally good. For only 18 euros they gave us a choice of starters (I had the pea velouté which was exquisite), followed by grilled chicken breast and then either cheese or a delightful chocolate dessert. The cooking and presentation were first class. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. I recommend going for a walk in the surrounding area and then have lunch. Cheese board was delicious with fresh bread. Only 2 pieces of cheese and some lettuce was disappointing when we were told 3 pieces with salad?? Waited over 10 mins for a drink. Was informed by waitress at 1:30pm they stop serving food at 2pm if we haven’t booked, so menu wasn’t offered hence the cheese board and crepe- crepe was delicious! Would like to return for evening meal as bookings seemed priority- which is fair!

Visiting Nanteuil on a quiet Sunday afternoon we came across the 'Auberge ' having eaten there years ago. Too late for a full meal we had a perfectly prepared cheese and cold meat board which together with a Small jug of wine was the perfect lunch. The staff couldn 't have been more friendly and helpful

Lovey peaceful setting in a very pretty town. 3 course menu for 30 euro was fantastic value amazing fresh oysters, chicken purée was simple tasty and 3 cheese dessert was great. Also lovey red wine! Very happy :
