Auberge du Chemin Faisant

We booked a dinner and a night at the auberge, thinking we found a gem. But later many of our friends told us that it is quite famous in their region as a top fine dining. So expectations were high. In the best traditional the restaurant offers the diner for very limited number of guests. The service is very precise and versatile. Impeccable 8 course dinner, 2 seafood starters with the most delicious scallop dish I’ve ever tried, 2 mains meat courses, selection of cheese,desserts and homemade ice cream. Aperitif and digestif you are welcome to enjoy at the comfort outside terrace. Wine list impressed by a compact number of labels, but the range can satisfy and surprise with the rare bottles....

Simply amazing. This is the only real high end restaurant of the KRTB. The only negative arguments would have to be the price and the limited choices you have. In fact, unless you have allergies or other specific problems with some food, there is only 1 menu, so everybody basically eat the same thing. They offer a 8 course dinner. portions are very reasonnable. The service is great, the staff is very welcoming, warm approach, the chef goes to your table to explain the menu. Unlike most high end restaurants, everybody will feel comfortable there. The wine and food pairing is great, very original wines matching perfectly the very well balanced courses. I definitly recommand going for the wine...

We loved every moment of our stay. The room was fun and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food was the absolute best meal we have ever had. I’ve recommended the experience to everyone we have talked to since visiting. A beautiful restaurant, building and people. The service was also exceptional. We will be back! Thank you so much:

By far, best meal of my life. 10 course dinner with carefully selected wine to accompany each plate. Need to reserve many months in advance. Important to know, you do not choose what to eat. Menu is planned ahead by chef and everyone eats same thing. N Outstanding! Small portion very well prepared and presented. Beautiful experience

We stayed here recently. I can't say enough good about it. The 8 course dinner was beautifully presented by the chef and was delicious. The auberge is lovely. The room we had was big and well laid out plus a very comfortable bed. I would return in a flash if possible.
