You can't fault tasty regional cooking at sensible prices. It was our first truffade. Maybe you're sick of it after a two-week holiday but we found it yummy. I mean, potatoes and cheese, what's not to like. And the portions in this part of the...world are so enormous I could have done without the steak alongside! The place was packed, with most of us eating outside in the shade as it was boiling hot. Inside is very cute. If all the auberges in the Cantal are as good as this we'll go home very happy.

Open all year and well situated for cross-country skiing in the winter and easy access to walks along the Cabrespine towards Puy Mary in the summer. It offers a selection of salads and traditional cuisine accompanied by the inevitable truffade at reasonable prices. We only...stopped for a fruit tart and a coffee at the end of a walk but that was good and the service was friendly efficient.

Au bout d une route qui tournicote, une très sympathique auberge aux prix doux ( bourriol au bleu/jambon pays/ salade pour 11€ à tte heure, formule à 12,50/15/21€). Très bon accueil souriant et convivial, nappe à carreaux, belle cheminée,... Excellente truffade, bon jambon, tarte myrtilles maison!!À recommander mais ...pas trop pour que tout reste authentique !

magnifique, exceptionnel : une vue splendide à perte de vue depuis la terrasse, un très bon déjeuner avec des produits qui sentent bon le terroir, servi avec le sourire et cordialité par la patronne; il vous faudra un peu de courage pour monter jusqu'au col, mais ça en vaut largement la peine.

Sometimes we are hiking in this part of France. It is quite an experience to have an overview while having dinner! We chose the menu of euro with a bottle of regional rosé, i.e. Auvergne. courses with regional products. Very tastefull and a...good quality/price relation!
