The setting is beautiful, the welcome warm and genuine, the service kind and professional, the wine selection formidable. But sadly, our duck skewers were 60% fl the at, and the meat chewy. This duck did not take care of himself. The Profiteroles were ok, but nothing to write home about served with commercial ice cream. The restaurant was full, with large groups. The prices are fairly modest. Most of the customers must have been there many times. We really wanted to love this restaurant and its hard working owners and staff. We visited on Easter Sunday for a family birthday celebration and could not have been treated better. Everything about this place is to love it's situation, the wine list and above all the food. The service was friendly and efficient and the ambiance of the dining room was welcoming and set the standard for a great lunch. My foie gras was superb and the poached magret de canard with geziers was a revelation, the cheeses were perfectly a point and the dessert was refreshing and inventive. All of this and a very reasonable price. Please be aware that the auberge is not normally open on Sundays.

The tittle sums it up really. You get copious dishes with tasty French traditional dishes that are well presented. Excellent friendly and professional staff. Wines are tasty. The comforting atmosphere makes you feel you really are in a traditional French auberge in the countryside yet the food is precise and rather well executed. Excellent spot for a dinner

Estelle could not be more helpful or obliging. We were recommended to dine here as our usual place was being renovated. The aromas of fresh home cooked food struck you one as one entered the premises; being later advised that only the best local produce is used to make traditional dishes became apparent. Highly recommended.
