Avenue (the) - Reservar uma mesa

I don't typically visit the avenue, not because it's a bad place, but it's not really my scene. However, we stumbled upon it and were pleasantly surprised by Good Fortune Restaurant. Many thanks to Kerry for taking care of Dillon and myself, as well as the other staff members involved. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and vibe of this establishment. Keep up the good work and continue to take care of your customers. From one businessman to another, well done.

I had a voucher so my husband and I decided to try this restaurant. His burger was terrible and ended up in the garbage. He ended up eating half of my sandwich, which was missing the avocado. However, the dessert was good. The music was very loud and the atmosphere was dark, like a club. Overall, we won't be returning as we're not sure why this place is popular.

The restaurant offers excellent happy hour specials. We ordered 7 cocktails and burgers. The Black and Blue burger had a deliciously strong blue cheese flavor (YUMMY), while my Cajun Death burger had such an intense spice level that I had trouble finishing it. The back room was quiet and our server/bartender was extremely attentive and friendly.

Cold beer and cold tacos. At least the beer was colder, but not much. The tacos would have been fantastic if they were hot. And it wasn't very busy. Also chicken taco calls a completely different thought than Buffalo chicken taco, be clear. The Steak-Taco was not shredded, it was fat and not good.

I went for Tampa Burger Week. The setting is mostly sports bar w/ lunch options. The burger was especially good. A nice char to the meat and bun bursting with flavor. An excellent bacon flavor with bacon jam. Totally a win win.
