Very glad we were told about this little hidden gem of a bakery about our holiday retreat, as we would not have seen it otherwise! It is open in the morning for breakfast and then from midnight to afternoon tea/coffee and cake, with bread and rolls available to buy also. We had a very nice tea (selected from a selection) and cake in an afternoon and later in the week went again for bread, which was excellent. The lady behind the counter was beautiful!

During our stay near Mondsee we enjoyed breakfast at bakery Obauer. The service was excellent, the food was tasty and generously proportional. A good value. (If you drive, you will find free parking at the northern end of the village on the Steinkluftstraße; then send a block or something to the south.

We were here because we didn't worry about going the hill to the supermarket, very please. The selection of bread and cakes is good and it is nice to see the place from the locals. My Austrian is not so good and her English is not so good, but that was part of the fun.

Great variety of local and specialties bread, rolls and cakes. You also serve breakfast or you can only have a coffee and you can buy milk, butter, juices etc. Best bakery in the world!
