Balkan House Ferndale

We visited Balkan House for the first time today and opted for the Döner Kabob, a popular choice for first-timers. I chose the beer and lamb, while my companion went with the chicken - both portions were generous and filled with flavorful meat. The meats were delicious and the bread was a unique blend of a white bread roll and pita pocket, unexpectedly tasty. The fries were hot and crispy, and the service was quick and helpful. We enjoyed our meal, although the bread was just okay. We plan to return to try more items in the future. I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. I highly recommend trying the beef/lamb Doner - it's so flavorful. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The friend I had dinner with had also been there for lunch earlier in the day and mentioned that the fries were outstanding. The restaurant is small and it seems like they do a lot of takeout. There is plenty of affordable parking behind the restaurant. They also have a Hamtramck location, although I have never been there. I can only assume it is just as good. The staff at this restaurant was very friendly.

Menu isn't large but what they make, they do well!Our first time here and we all had the Doner Loaded pitas (2 lamb/beef and 1 chicken)...so yummy! Fluffy pita, great sauce and huge.The fries were thin, crispy, hot and salty. Chicken wings were also very good.Service was very friendly and quick.

The food at this restaurant is exceptional, especially the Doner Kebab. I ordered takeout and only had to wait for 10 minutes upon arrival. The staff at the counter even offered me complimentary Baklava and apologized for the short wait. I will definitely be returning in the future. Reserve uma mesa agora

Savory, fresh, and great service.Friends brought us while visiting Detroit. The Shawarma bowl was great. We order one with fries and one with rice, the fries won. The Bosnian sausage was a nice add to the order. To close, the Nutella crepe sealed the deal.Will be returning for sure

The food was amazing, however the tables were a little tight. The guy that was helping us made us feel so loved and incredible. I would 100% recommend and the soup... oh the soup it was so good. Homemade not from a can. The building was also extremely clean.

Food came out hot and fresh. We got the Doner Kebab, it was the best we have had. Well seasoned, great sauce. Mango smoothie was amazing, would highly recommend. Will eat here again next time we are in town.

Dropped in on a cold December afternoon and ordered the Donner Kebab. Excellent service and great food. The Turkish coffee was also authentic and good. Highly recommended! Reserve uma mesa agora
