Consistently delicious high quality food with good prices and large portions. I like the goat the most, lamb #2, but I've tried all the lunch/dinner options and they're all excellent. All dinner/lunch options have the same sides. The only difference is price and protein. The proteins have consistently been tender and well spiced. I'm used to spicy food, so this doesn't bother me at all, but those averse to even low level of spiciness may find it spicy or may want to ask to tone down the scoville level. It comes w/ fluffy basmati rice, salad, yummy spicy green sauce (basbaas? , banana, bottle of water, a delicious spiced tea (closest thing I've had to it is Ethiopian spiced tea or some Indian...

Don 't turn away from this restaurant because of appearances. It does not look like much on the outside and not better on the inside. They do get an 'A ' rating from the Health Department. So the restaurant is clean. It just doesn 't have the trendy or chic vibe in the atmosphere. The restaurant has some really good ethnic food though. And the staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is limited (chicken, beef, goat, fish rice). But the food is really good quality and fresh. And they say to eat your banana with your meal. The banana is not a starter or dessert. I ordered the goat, rice soup and received a great meal.

During our trip to California we had the chance to check out this gem. Banadir restaurant was such a great experience. The food was incredible! so good that we forgot to add the moos iyo basbaas lol that's when you know its bomb. The staff were supper kind and accommodating. I can't wait to come back and eat here. 10/10

today i tried the best Goat and Lamb Kabsah with rice, the whole experience is unique, starting with the Somali Tea with spice and the vegetables soup is amazing and it comes with Banana and water and the rice comes with spicy hot sauce, i really enjoyed it and strongly recommend it

Surely a place worth stopping by, the food is awesome and fresh, the prices are affordable and it is always neat there. Highly recommended.
