Bandido's Restaurant Mexicano

Took more awhile to get a bartender, and that's with only one other person at the bar. I ordered steak tacos and they were absolutely the driest, saddest looking tacos. It was literally dry pieces of cheap steak and onions on a tortilla that came right out of the bag. No sauce, no flavor, no care at all. SAD. The overall quality of the food is poor, from top to bottom. This is NOT Mexican food in any way. I got stuffed peppers that came with ranch to dip in. They were battered and fried, but not near long enough. The atmosphere was nice felt like you 're in a typical Mexican restaurant. The service was alright, but our waiter seemed like he was in pain the entire time he was helping us. He seemed to have no desire to want to be there. Then the menu was shortened and didn 't give any information as to what was in the burritos or specials so you had to guess. When the food got to us the queso was not your typical queso on a burrito. It seemed like it came from a jar. On my burritos it has shredded cheddar cheese... I 've never seen that before. Bandido's has always been a family favorite, but seems to get less and less good as we go. The new menu is very confusing. I see they are possibly trying to compete with QSR restaurants, but no clue if this is the way to do it. Food is always just okay. Margaritas are good and cheap, so that's a plus. Kind of disappointed on the food though.

How can this place be listed. The restaurant is closed. A new restaurant has taken it's place and after the severe decline in the product at Bandido's I have not been brave enough to try the new place. Never seems to have any cars in the lot so I have little hope for this place. Hopefully they at least got rid of the microwaves!

This place is permanently closed and has been open for over a month with new owners. There is no Bandidos's any longer. Today is our first trip to the new owners... I will review after eating!
