Bar Restaurant du Faubourg

This is a typical small town restaurant serving a good lunch at a reasonable price. The menu is restricted and the food is freshly cooked by the owner's wife. We had steak and chips. The steak was large and nicely cooked, but a little chewing and was accompanied by wine and followed by coffee. When I was a guest, I could not see the cost of meal, but since many local workers had eaten there, it could not have been expensive. The host and his waiters were very friendly and efficient; the decor is light and airy and the restaurant is friendly dog. The toilets were immaculate and it was quite easy to park in the street outside. If you are at lunch in Maubbourguet, this is a nice place to eat.

Something from the city (in the 'Faubourg', inexcellent) is this jewel of the locals. Compared to one of the best butchers in the department, the meat is good. Always packed, fast service, amazing value.

Open only 4 days a week (Tues Friday) but exceellent lunch. Every day there are different menus with a selection of at least two main courses
