Bay Road Nursery - Reservar uma mesa

The cafe has changed hands recently and is now called No 1 restaurant. They serve meals as well as cakes, rather than paninis etc. I had the pork with cherry sauce and vegetables, which was stunning and my friend had the salmon with vegetables and it was just perfect.It is a husband and wife team and he does the waiting side while she is the chef. He has obviously worked in quality establishments, judging by the skills and service. It was such a lovely lunch. Thank you.

My purchase only came to $9.40. The waitress said '$10 minimum. (No sign displyed or pointed out!?) I had no cash, so she charged me an extra .50c.. It wasn't that I couldn't afford the extra .50c it was the stinginess of the cafe asking for it. Will never go back, plenty of good cafes in the area that don't have this money grabbing policy. (I had business myself and know this is revenue raising).

The carrot cake and coffee was highly recommend, and did not disappoint. Apparently it is their best seller, and I know why - fresh, moist and very tasty. The cafe is lovely and is very popular with the locals.

Had brunch here today to catch up with friends,the food wasn't bad but we found the price a little bit expensive compared to other eateries that we have been too

A great little spot to rest up with good food surrounded by the nursery wares. parking can be a problem but a short walk is worth the effort.
