Bean Here Now Consciousness Cafe

Don't be thrown off by the humble coffee-truck appearance - this is the real deal. I have been going to Oso Negro in Nelson for as long as it has existed, but I recently discovered something even better - the Capulin coffee they serve at Bean Here Now. You'll taste that it doesn't have the bitterness of other coffee, and I especially love the smooth high that isn't followed by a crash.The operator Mitch told me the story about the coffee. The difference is that the beans never touch water until they hit the espresso machine (other beans are processed with water - bad beans float to the top - but that can form tannins in the beans which Mitch says people often react to and think it's the caff...

We first had coffee here while visiting Nelson two years ago, so happy to see that other than the location, nothing has changed since then! The best Mocha I have ever had! Will definitely visit again before we leave Nelson.

I was doing a walkabout in Nelson and I dropped by to see what he has to offer. So, I ordered a Mayan hot chocolate. The taste of the Mayan hot chocolate made me feel nice and happy. I will be back with family or friends!

Mitch is personable and interesting. The best coffee in Nelson whether a hot coffee or an ice coffee on those hot summer days. Service is fast considering most of the time it is Mitch there alone.

we had two years ago coffee here while we visited nelson so happy that nothing has changed since! the best mocha I've ever had! will definitely visit again before we leave nelson.
