BECKER'S - Reservar uma mesa

we came to beckers with great expectations. my wife is almost vegetarian and she was happy that there was an alternative. first starter was 5 thin slices of red beet (carpaccio? with a minimalist piece burrata, then, instead of a st. jacob she received. (again! a burrata with pumpkin cream. then, in the menu, the top bowl was based on white alba truffle. I was happy and asked the waiter if it was alba truffle and he confirmed. what we received was black winter truffles and the flavor taste is simply not comparable. I complained and they apologised that it was in the did not white truffle, as they had problems with delivery (I would expect a restaurant this level would inform the customers in...

Food was ok, but not worth a 2 Michelin star BUT: we were never treated so unfriendly with no respect by Madame Becker. My wife had a fly on her starter definitely not the fault of the restaurant) but then Madame Becker told us...2 times that it is cereal...see picture below.... Before the starter arrived my wife went to smoke a cigarette. Madame Becker forbid her to go because she wanted to bring the starter..... these are only some of no go stories we were living this evening. At the beginning we thought that it was a joke but unfortunately we figured out that it has been bitter reality! Ps: the name of the cereal: drosophila melanogoster

this is probably the best rated restaurant for fine eating in trier, with not one but two michelin stars. we chose the 8-speed menu, as this was the first night of our holiday, and we wanted a festive start. they also receive. a series of amuses, and an extra dessert, and the courses do not always come very fast: we left the restaurant after midnight (from 7.30), which was somewhat too long. the dinner was excellent (although pricy) and the wine pairing was beautiful.

we celebrated the birthday of my sohnes in beckers and were very disappointed about food that is far from the expectations nothing special is not a wow effect! in addition, the owner woman manages this in an arrogant unfriendly cold style. that's a pity, because the other staff is quite friendly, but the owner woman is difficult and obviously not for the first time. this is certainly not a two Michelin Star experience and we will not return there!

it was great, total cost for two 300eurs, but it is worth eating! waiter was very pleasant, they speak English there, we had a great experience!
