Bell's 48th Street Deli

Okay, guys, this restaurant is in the middle of a neighborhood and that was our first time. The place is simple, gives you and old school type of feeling the owners Phyllis is super sweet and beautiful makes you feel like family. We ordered a double Pastrami cheeseburger with frits and a pastrami cheeseburger with avocado and grilled onions and frits. The frits are HOMEMADE, fry sauce is available, so is ketchup and she makes fresh cookies daily. The menu is simple, but you can always add. We ate our whole meal, and we enjoyed every bite. So... Went in to this place on just a whim. I saw it on maps and saw it had favorable reviews, which you can't always trust. However, this is one of those moments that the reviews truly reflect this place. Bell's is not much to look at on the outside or even on the inside. In fact, you might drive right by without noticing. I love the simpleness of the menu. Basic burgers with few special items. I ordered the one of the special items. The Bateman burger was spot on, and nothing short of fantastic. The flavor was solid throughout. The fries were good and homey as well. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes burgers and getting their money's worth.

Best burgers around! Phyllis is such an amazing woman! She is professional and kind, and always seems to remember exactly what we like to order every time we call in. Her service is by far the best all around.

This is now my top choice for delicious sandwiches! The atmosphere is so inviting and cozy. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning soon.

I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Simple but addictively delicious burgers and pommes. Some of the best fry sauce I've ever had
