It's not our 1st experience at Belvoir. The environment and the service are highly attractive and we visit the place despite past snags. Although the 1 st floor was busy with a big reception, on the ground floor there were enough staff left to take comfortably care of the customers. We both had the tomahawk pork cutlet. It was juicy and well-done. This part tends to dry out quickly but it was well-treated. Service was very personal. We missed the traditional sweets cart, obviously a Corona victim.
The place to be if you enjoy traditional perfect gourmet service. The very young apprentice service personnel outperforms by far all Michelin star adorned restaurants in Zurich with their fresh and very competent and adorable service.. A breath of fresh air. The kitchen creates creative gourmet food. Not exceptional, but always at a constant high level. We repeat visits and enjoy it every time.
The restaurant has a small but interesting menue. Good selection of fine wine. To celebrate a biethday, we had booked for 6 people at 7pm. The first course came at 8.45pm..... Maincourse at 9.30pm. Tasted all very good, but we were all pissed and starving, having to wait so long. No excuse were given why the kitchen/service took so long. Not sure if we ever will visit that restaurant again.
