I am having a hard time writing this review because the category for it is calling for a restaurant review. If you check out the attached website, you 'll realize that it is so much more. Five of us spent our last afternoon of our week long trip to Burgundy at Chateau Beru, which is right outside Chablis. We secured a 1.5 hour tour (including wine tasting) with the Countess Laurence de Beru of the chateau and the grounds, which has been in the her husband 's family for over 400 years. The chateau itself is over 800 years old and still running. Totally agree ego on over sizing To avoid without regret A young owner incapable of taking 5 minutes to inform you about anything???? On my way out I went to an absolutely charming winemaker listed in the Hachette guide and who sold me some Petit Chablis even though this owner had replied to me But sir here there are only first growths You really have to go backwards to visit this place In addition, very expensive Go your way There is nothing to see
We were there with relatives and had two rooms. There is a nice sitting area and the bedrooms are nicely decorated. Good breakfasts in the morning and a big swimming pool . Which was an extra with the warm weather. The lady of the house was very friendly and charming. She gave us a tour in the buildings chateau and winery). We all enjoyed it very much.
