I should have went here Hungry! Food was Excellent! A true BBQ joint that knows what they are doing! Awesome job. Brisket and Ribs came out glistening and smelling incredible. Ribs were long and a great amount of meat still on them. Good amount of rub that gave them a sexy sweet red coating. Not quite a dry rib because they glaze it with the sauce a little bit but it 's not like a New England style slathered in sauce. More like a gentle artistic brush of a great sauce that still cooks into the meat after they take it out of the smoker. Four of us grabbed appetizers to go as a snack. We went with the BBQ cheese fries, BBQ mac and cheese croquettes, and the cornbread. Everything hit the spot. I regret not going with one of the meats as an appetizer. Therefore, I feel my review should only be taken as a partial. The glimpses of the BBQ bits we got in the apps were delicious, tender, and flavorful. Each app came with a cup of dipping sauce. For the cornbread nuggets, the cup was full of melted maple butter. Mmmmmm. The fries were still crispy and delicious even though they were covered in meat, sauce, and cheese. I agree with the other reviews in that the portions were kind of small. I could have sworn I posted earlier as this was probably our fifth visit (most have been takeout)... Becoming a recent RI resident after 30 years in Houston where we had some of the best and most diverse BBQ options, we are tough critics. Well we now have a spot and although this is not the Pit Room or Franklin 's, it is pretty darn good. Clearly the best on Aquidneck and maybe RI (yes we have tried a number of other RI spots). The meats brisket, sausage, and pulled pork whether as a sandwich or part of 1 meat 1 side or 2 meats 2 sides are quite good. Quality meat that is prepared right . Priced right. When I eat out I usually hardly finish all my food but this place was soooo good I finished my meal completely! So delicious, best place in Newport!!! Beef brisket sandwich was the best!!!!

Clearly the only BBQ place around and a winner! Drop by and enjoy a meal outside. Only weakness are the sides with the baked beans being the best of them
