Bistro De Montcaud

This restaurant is a wonderful discovery and because we live nearby we have lunched here twice this month! First impressions are of a handsome chateau with outbuildings that contain the restaurant, all beautifully restored and stylishly equipped. The Bistro interior is spacious, comfortable and light, with large windows looking out to the terrace and parkland. Our welcome and service was excellent. The menu offers a very good, limited variety of dishes with, this month, truffles much in evidence. Everything we chose was superbly cooked and presented; altogether totally delicious. Pro house, charming and efficient service. perfect egg and octopus in very successful entries. lotte, chorizo, asparagus make a really nice dish with however emulation too close to that of the egg served in the entrance. delicious dessert with tatin and ice. Only two roses on the map, it's summer. Even if these are two beautiful houses!

We arrived by accident in this restaurant... what a joy! The emplacemeny is exceptional: a beautiful castle with a great garden. We took the sunday-menu of the chef (6 courses)...what a delight! The food was superb, the staff was very professional and friendly. We had a wonderful evening!

we ate there in love on Friday evening, reception and service were very pleasant; the card really comes and the chosen menus were divine. Moreover, the place is beautiful. short we recommend and return with pleasure

Gaspacho so and so, tartare very good, wine ok. Service can be improved. I will give it another try next year.
