"Came hear on recommendation from a friend. Food was excellent (and I'm a fussy git). The service was spot on, he even let me continue ordering in my rubbish schoolboy attempt at French even though his English was good. I would definitely come back."

We went here as a family, and initially I was a bit worried about what I'd booked due to all the men smoking out the front. But, once we were shown to the back of the restaurant and away from the smoke smell, it got better. The food was delicious we had the duck, the confit and the largest Goats Cheese salad we've ever seen. We would have given this an Excellent rating had we not ordered crepes to finish. The Chocolat chaud was not a gorgeous, thick homemade sauce that I was expecting, but was a chocolate flavoured ice cream sauce instead, and very disappointing. They could also do with having a high chair.

Stopped off for a quick lunch enroute to Bergerac great service, slightly scary positioning sitting outside on the edge of a roundabout where the cars seem to just stop right next to our table! Simple traditional french menu including steak tartare, confit de canard, steak etc. presentation was very good but I personally found it too difficult to eat as there was no sauce with the confit and it was too dry to finish. Shame because it could have been great.

Saw it driving down the street and expected small dark interior. But you can walk through and sit outside which although close to the road was in fact fine. Menu and service was good. I had quite an interesting house salad which was good. Drinks were fine and kept coming. In some ways better than the places closer to the cathedral and it was much easier to park. Worth a try

The Gascony salad featured duck bacon, gizzards and a slab of foie gras on greens; it is typical of the area but a bit much for me. Another in the party had seafood lasagna which was fine and a third had roast duck breast. The place was empty but service was slow nonetheless.
