We dined at Bistrot L’Alchimiste on Rue Saint Denis located nearly in the shadow of the 15th century Cathedral (construction of the church began in 1434, on the site of a Romanesque cathedral, and took 457 years to finish! It’s worth a visit while you’re in Nantes) This charming and small restaurant is located on a small side street and could be easily overlooked. It had a great rating on Trip Advisor and looked charming when I checked it out on the walk to my hotel from the Musee d’Arts de Nantes where our art museum association meetings are being held.
