Black Cat Cafe - Reservar uma mesa

We don't often visit the Eastlands shopping centre (colloquially nicknamed "Wastelands") on Hobart's Eastern Shore very frequently, but I recently visited with my 6-year-old daughter during the school holidays. With positive memories of the old "Leo's" cafe-restaurant at Eastlands, we decided to have lunch at the Black Cat Cafe, which is located adjacent to the Eastern ground-level carpark facing the Rosny Bus Mall, a somewhat more salubrious location than the grotty, expensive and noisy food court on the lower level.Unfortunately, the Black Cat Cafe is barely a shadow of what cheerful "Leo's" was. I am at least twice per week in the neighbourhood of this cafe but never stopped for a cuppa. This time I took the opportunity to stop for a snack and a mocha. The service was friendly but the lady with her rainbow coloured hair behind the coffee machine took her time with the coffee delivery. However, the recommended biscuit snack and the coffee was excellent.

It's nice to walk in to a clean, airy cafe.Service was fast. Food was varied and fresh. Grateful to have a choice of healthy food along with some of the not so healthy. Especially in a shopping centre. There's also a sandwich bar, hot food ands a Valhalla once cream choc top cone bar available. Prices are very reasonable. We will return. Thank you.
