Blue Plate - Reservar mesa

My most recent experience at Blue Plate was getting a burger, which arrived medium rare. Apparently someone else at my table wanted rare, but their burger arrived with no pink at all. After explicitly requesting, it's got to be pink. The kitchen staff is all pretty new, and although they are working hard, they aren't listening to customer feedback that much. The management is doing great, and the servers are very sweet and thoughtful. Kitchen crew needs to get a clue. Yes, it rhymes because i am funny. Blue plate is kinda fancy, kinda pricey for what they serve, and kinda same as everyone else. We like the management, old family friends. I give a 4-star review because the kitchen needs help...

I’m really disappointed with this restaurant. It used to be my favorite, but it seems there's a new owner and management now. They no longer serve bread, and the chicken is nothing special—it used to be top-notch and outstanding. The appetizers were decent, but charging $16 for four tiny ribs is not acceptable. Everything is worse and more expensive now. The wine selection isn’t impressive either. It was once such a fantastic place, but not anymore. The tres leches dessert was very disappointing, and the water for the tea wasn’t boiled. It's frustrating to see the same restaurant lose its quality while prices increase. They really need to do better.

We went back to the Blue Plate for dinner before seeing a show at the Mac-Haydn Theater. We both had the grilled salmon. It was outstanding, and our server, Riley, was attentive but not intrusive. She had complete knowledge of the menu and made an otherwise great meal even better. This is an old Chatham hotel with a bar in its basement. Wrap around windows on the first floor display the beautiful village. Prices are reasonable. Go see Riley when you are in the neighborhood. You won't regret it

The new chef has improved the food, but prices have gone up while the ambiance remains the same. However, service is often chaotic and feels inexperienced. There are plenty of staff on hand, but they seem poorly trained, with some appearing to be quite out of it. Bimi is certainly going to challenge Blue Plate in the dining scene, and with the changes in Chatham, Blue Plate needs to rise to the occasion. Reserve uma mesa agora

Superior wait person who helped greatly when our 5 person reservation had not been recorded. Inventive food, well prepared. Check out the oat ice cream. Mussels just like I make at home. The Blue Plate has always been my top choice in Chatham, and it remains one of my favorites, although RJ's is definitely growing on me!

They didn't honor our reservation. The staff was unfriendly and reluctant to seat us due to being understaffed.
