For holidaymakers that would like to experience a real piece of Spanish life Bordeaux Lloretis the place to go. Renowned for it’s michirones (broad beans) with patatas cocidas con ajo (potatoes in garlic) to be eaten with a glass of the house vermouth, is a real treat. Outdoors you would never guess what delights lie within. Inside the surroundings are large and small barrels of tempting drinks and racks of bottles of quality wines, with everything at great prices. This place does not seemed to have changed much for generations, it is the locals watering hole. As foreigners we received a warm welcome from the very helpful staff. Coinciding with the mining cante festival, it was completely full and we were a bit hot. The food was very tasty and the staff was very attentive, although the large number of customers did not make it easy for them. The bodega looks like it had never changed in many years, great character both in the decor and the owner who is an ex professional football player. Typical tapas available as well as a large selection of wines and spirits. You can even get a good house wine from the barrel for about 1.60 a litre. Certainly be back again.
