We have passed by this restaurant many times before, but we had never actually been inside until today. We will definitely be coming back again! We started with poppadoms and dips, then we each had a build-your-own regular box and a drink. It cost about £24 with a lunchtime offer, and it was well worth it! Indian takeout can be expensive, so we don't often treat ourselves to it. Each box comes with 2 fillings, 2 bases, a sauce, and a chutney. Ordered from here so many times previously and never been disappointed. Box sizes have changed and now much smaller. Added extras are now charged when they didn’t used to be. Paneer tikka was rock solid and dry. Also only a small thing but I asked for no added crispy onions and they put them on anyway (I am pregnant and this caused a few tears! For two meals and two drinks it was £27 inc delivery, the food was not up to standard and probably won’t order again.
It had been a long time since I last visited Bombay Bites, so I decided to treat my family to three different vegetarian boxes and some samosas. The food used to be excellent and a good value for money many years ago, but now the cost does not seem justified.
