A family-owned neighbourhood pub-restaurant in Sidney popular with locals and visitors. The building itself is over 100 years old. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. The decor is warm and full of historic character and local memorabilia. The food is your typical pub grub, but with quality ingredients sourced locally. Red Seal chefs run the kitchen. Burgers were very good, homemade patties with famous locally baked Portofino buns, generous in size and serving. Their cheesecake is a town favourite. My son lives in Sidney. I do not. He had heard Boondocks has a new chef and the food has been really good lately. He heard right! The four of us were given EXCELLENT service on a very busy evening. The place was hopping with patrons whose dinners looked great. We all enjoyed our chicken wings as appys - two different kinds - yummy. They came promptly as did our meals afterwords. Prices are reasonable and their specials were good as two of us had the specials. We left full and satisfied. Yes it is pub food but GREAT pub food.

I've gone to Boondocks three times in the last month and each time it is consistently delicious food, cooked with heart in a warm, casual pub style restaurant. The poutine (which you can get as a side) and wings are to die for. The owners are awesome. This place has been around for years and there are many reason why. The family who runs it are the most kind and hard working people I know. Try the Caesar with the picked beet garnish! So good.

They have daily specials and as well as a regular menu. We both went for the specials and had very good meals. It is not afancy restaurant, but affordable home-style very tasty better than pub food. The decor and the local patrons reminded me of being in a neighborhood pub in England. Our waitress was very pleasant, the turn around time seemed quick and the pint of ale was a wonderful accompaniment. Would we go back? YES. Reserve uma mesa agora

We were trying to find a place to eat but haven't been to Sidney for years. Walked in here to hear great music! Found a table in the back. This place was packed! We were greeted promptly. given a few minutes and ordered drinks and dinner. Drinks were there within just a couple minutes. Dinner was served quickly too. I had a Cajun chicken Caesar salad. It was sooo good! Definitely recommend !!

We waited 1 1/2 hours for our food to arrive and then 2 orders were wrong.Sat and waited for our server to get to us so we could order a drink finally went to the bar and got our own. Used to live in Sidney and never had this kind of service? Will never go again.
