My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of experiencing the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing, which was a complete seduction of the senses, for a Tuesday date night. Each dish played an important part in the overall connected theme of the menu, and progressed in a three and a half hour service highlighted by thoughtful cocktails and wines. Particular favourites included an exquisite lobster and bisque, lamb and chanterelles, and Alaskan bomb. Magical plating with a flare towards playful, which I found to be very whimsical. absolutely exceptional and one of the best lunch table-d'hote values that they find everywhere on the world! folks, this restaurant would have 100% a Michelin star when michelin came to montreal, and their lunch 3 curs prix fixe menu is only 50 cad (and that includes the choice between 2 options of appetizers and netzens). look at some of my pictures to see carefully and artistically designed dishes, amazing cooking skill (the yogurt custard dessert had never had anything quite like it amazing) and taste that they will remember for a long gg time (the textur of the yogurt custard dessert would not have been anything quite amazing.) We had a wonderful lunch here where all five members of our party really enjoyed the food and that is saying a LOT! Two of us ordered from the prix fixe menu and the rest decided to try a la carte dishes. To start: octopus and hiramasa dishes were excellent, as was the salmon starter from the prix fixe menu; corn soup and fig fennel salad were lovely. Main dishes: scallops were REALLY good (a high mark from our very picky children), Cornish hen was terrific, so were the two items from the prix fixe menu beef and sea bass. There was barely room for dessert but we went for it anyway! Chocolate, strawberry and a plate of ice creams really hit the spot.
We opted for the tasting menu and out of the 8 dishes we sampled, only two truly impressed us: the Arctic char and the veal. The Arctic char was a delightful mix of textures and flavors, while the veal was cooked to perfection and had a playful twist. The cost was around $200 per person. While the meal wasn't exceptional, the impeccable service and the impressive cooking skills demonstrated in these two dishes made for a memorable overall experience. Une expérience merveilleuse! Un service impeccable! Notre serveur était très gentil. Ma soeur a beaucoup de restrictions alimentaires et notre serveur à fait des pieds et des mains pour qu'elle ait une superbe expérience. La chef a concocté un dessert spécial qui n'était pas sur le menu. Nous nous sommes senties très bien accueillies. Nous recommandons cet endroit à tous.
This hidden jewel was so perfect for my birthday dinner. We choose the 5-course menu with the adventurous wine tasting. Local Canadian wines! They complemented each course perfectly. Nice and attentive service. Make a reservation because it is a small and intimate space.
