Brandywine River Museum Of Art

Another perfect day trip! You can spend hours admiring some of the most magnificent artworks by the Wyeth family and other local historical artists throughout the museum. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the stunning outdoor landscape by walking along a designated path. My review highlights the café located past the gift shop, which features floor-to-ceiling glass walls that provide a beautiful view of the Brandywine River and its "tubers" drifting down the waterfront. The café offers a small but delightful menu, complete with fresh coffee and other beverages. Best of all, there is no charge to visit the café.

I've been here several times over the years. Stopped in PA to visit Longwood Gardens and was driving by and decided to stop in to look at what paintings they have on display. I was pleasantly surprised that they have quite a few paintings on display. Although the paintings they do have are mostly Wyeth paintings of various family members spanning many generations, they also have a large display of landscape paintings by various artists. I enjoyed looking at Jamie Wyeth's paintings the best. He's very talented. I also appreciated the dark nature of Andrew Wyeth's paintings.

it was our first time! beautiful renovation/ conversion of a mill into a very successful museum. it is so walkable and manageable! the circular movement from the clear large windows with the stunning view of the brandywine creek invites to the solid gallery spaces! the exhibition is excellent. very informative and presented in time. we learned a lot about the wyeth. the lunch was absolutely tasty and the cafeteria location again surrounds the view of water/nature! we will book again and in any case nc Wyeth’s study tour.

The café features amazing artwork and delicious food. The architecture of the building, along with the greenery by the river, creates a lovely atmosphere.

The paintings in the new exhibition were stunning. There was a wonderful array of works by many self-taught artists showcased.
