Brasserie La Traine

We were looking for a good lunch before getting on a flight back to the UK from the airport, and – from the map – Carnon looked like a good place to find some good food by the coast. This is not a review of the Carnon location, but the town has certainly seen better days. It's not what you might call an up market marina. Nevertheless, there are a lot of restaurants along the strip by the harbour. most are semi permanent structures with canvas walls designed to be raised when the weather is not cold and stormy. We were stopping nearby at the Hotel Neptune for a working weekend so I wanted to experience the local cuisine and found this gem of a restaurant, the welcome was very friendly the food was top quality within a realistic price range. I can highly recommend a visit to this restaurant I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Bonne app :

Nice location at the Carnon harbour. Friendly staff. House speciality canigot aux gambas is recommendable: different filets of fiss, squid, mussels and gambas with a creamy garlic sauce. Good value for money.

Overall the food served to us was very good across all courses....There is nothing negative we can say...so on that basis happy to recommend

Great service ,but food looks nice but not well cooked , rice to hard, fish ok, meet to cooked, French fries not good To touristique place
