The restaurant looked pleasant and similar to many of the others on the quayside.... However, the whole experience was unpleasant, uncomfortable, and upsetting. The two waiters on duty were the rudest waiters we have ever had the displeasure of being served by. One immediately upset...our 4 year old by unnecessarily touching his head in a rude manner as he walked past to another table. Why did that man just bang my head, Mummy? He asked if we were French or English and when we replied English he tutted and walked off. We are perfectly happy and able to order food in restaurants in French, and spoke to him in French, so not sure why, in an international city, us not being French offended him...
was looking for a place to eat with the family, 2 children from 3 and 5 years old were already a bit tired of a hot summer day, so we decided to take first place that looked good and had a good menu. Friendly...Short explained kitchen would begin at 7 but that we already had an aperitive, the kerl was super good to entertain the children. We came early with two friends because we had a tight planning. I asked the guy when the service was to begin and he answered soon We waited 20mn before ordering. If then you want half french fries and half salad with your bruschetta, it's...impossible : 3€ more, waiter's arrogance added. Seriously? It seems this restaurant has no problem to fill his tables with tourists. In fact you want to flee from it or you might have a bad opinion of the south of France.
I've been in toulon for two years and this is the best place for morning breakfast. the personal (mostly melvyn) is very nice and efficient with great fast service. brot, a lot of jam and butter, orange juice and coffee. everything for €5.50 (you can. buy a croissant at local brothshop if you need extra. the restaurant is located on the water and I sit for a few hours without urgency to move me. a nice peaceful start to the day. thank you. The waiter was great, polite and attentive but the food was poor, lacked taste and the king prawns so soft we thought they may be off. The dressing was out of a bottle and the desserts from Carte d'Or. Expensive for what it was. Super...service, sympa et attentif mais repas plus que décevant. Entrée médiocre. Gambas toutes molles, sauce de salade en bouteille, dessserts Carte d'Or. Mauvais rapport qualité/prix.
This is one of a range of restaurants on the sea front in the port. I chose it because some other customers were eating mussels and I decided that it was for me. There are five or six mussel dishes. I chose the mussels in...basil sauce and it didn't disappoint. In addition, the house wine was quaffable and the prices were reasonable. The view from the terrace was pleasant on a warm, fine day.
